QUESTION & ANSWER for vendors
WHICH VENDOR TIER SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Impacted Families
This tier is for family members of victims of state-sanctioned violence (such as police brutality) who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Vendors in this category can sell merchandise related to their family member, provide community resources, or share their story and the legacy of their loved one. This space also allows them to promote any businesses or initiatives started in honor of their family member.
Nonprofit Community Resources ONLY
This tier is for nonprofits and community organizations that serve the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community. Vendors in this category offer free resources and information to festival-goers, without engaging in sales.
Nonprofit Vendor Sales
This tier is for nonprofit organizations that want to sell merchandise, classes, courses, or experiences while also sharing information about their organization and mission.
Standard Vendor Sales & Resources
This tier is for businesses looking to sell merchandise to the community. Items can range from jewelry, apparel, books, plants, and more—just no alcohol or cannabis. Past vendors have sold everything from home décor to skin care.
Wellness Vendor Sales
This tier is for wellness practitioners and organizations selling merchandise at our annual Self-Care Fair, which offers free wellness services to the community. Wellness vendors include anything related to the collective work of health and wellness.
If you are looking to sign up as a wellness practitioner to offer services to the community during the self-care fair, please email events@riseandremember.org. The latter opportunity is modestly compensated. Please note that selling products will not be allowed if you are a practitioner unless you have also registered as a wellness vendor.
Food Vendors
This tier is for those selling prepared food or beverages at the festival. Food vendors can include food trucks, stalls, pop-up restaurants, beverage stands, and more. All food vendors must have the appropriate permits and licenses to operate.
CAN MY APPLICATION BE DECLINED?
Rise and Remember reserves the right to decline any application that does not align with the values of the organization, the event, or the venue. Declined applicants will be notified and will receive a full refund.
CAN I SELL OR DISTRIBUTE CANNABIS?
Rise and Remember has decided to not allow cannabis, cannabis-based, cannabis-infused, or cannabis-derived products to be vended at this event in effort to keep the weekend family-friends.
CAN I SELL OR DISTRIBUTE ALCOHOL?
Our event permit at George Floyd Square will not include the sell or distribution of alcohol.
WHAT IF I REGISTERED BUT CAN NO LONGER BE A VENDOR?
Please notify us immediately at events@riseandremember.org. Refunds are not available for vendor cancellations.
WILL I HAVE TO BRING MY OWN TENT?
We encourage all vendors to bring their own tent. Rise & Remember has a limited amount of tents available for shared use. Please contact vendors@riseandremember.org for availability.
