About the Twin Cities Restorative Wellness Response Project

Catalyzed by the traumatic 2020 murder of George Floyd, the Twin Cities Restorative Wellness Response was formed as a local collaborative healing and reclamation project. The people behind this project acknowledge that compound and complex trauma in its many forms takes a toll on the human spirit, physical health, and community. Healing must be owned by individuals and communities and that by emphasizing self-care we can create resilience and well-being. This project seeks to elevate healing voices and skills in our communities.  Access to complementary and integrative healing therapies has not been equally accessible throughout our metropolitan area, especially for racially marginalized communities. This project seeks to overcome this through collaboration and partnerships that effectively pool resources and support meaningful collective healing.

About the Self-Care Fair

The Self-Care Fair has the following goals:

1. Educate the community on integrative health services and career opportunities.

2. Provide opportunities for community members to experience integrative health practices.

This year, we will integrate wellness vendors with practitioners. So, in addition to free wellness services, community members will be able to browse resources available to them year-round.

We are looking for both wellness practitioners and wellness vendors. Wellness practitioners are offering free services only. Vendors are registering to distribute community resources or sell merchandise. Wellness practitioners must also register as a vendor if they want to sell merchandise. 

Note: The Rise & Remember Festival committee decided to not allow cannabis, cannabis-based, cannabis-infused, or cannabis-derived products sold or distributed at this event. Practitioners, please adjust your services accordingly where necessary.
