MLK Day 2025
Learn to tell our stories
Film clip from “The People’s Way” directed by Ashley Tyner & William Tyner.
EVENT POSTPONED
Every movement has someone capturing and recording what happened. During the 19th Century, the invention of the video camera expanded the ways through which stories could be told and remembered. Today, many people have access to cameras through cell phones, but capturing stories is an art form. Rise and Remember is looking for 12 high school students to join us on MLK Day for a documentary film skills development day. Learn how to set up a professional camera, create optimal lighting, record quality sound, and edit. Join us for a day-long experience that honors the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the legacy of movements.
